Q1. What kind of SDKs do Nikon offer?

A1. We offer SDKs in 3 categories.
1. Camera Remote SDK to remotely control a camera made by Nikon.
2. Image SDK to open raw images (NEF and NRW files).
3. Film Scanner SDK to control a film scanner made by Nikon.

Q2. Are there any limitations when using the SDKs?

A2. All limitations you need to follow (if any) are written in the license agreements presented when you download the SDKs.
Please read thoroughly when agreeing to the agreements to download the SDKs.

Q3. Are there any fees involved when using the SDKs?

A3. No, the use of SDK is free within the limit of license agreements.

Q4. Do you offer any technical support for the SDKs?

A4. No, we do not offer technical support for the SDKs.

Q5. Is there anywhere I can ask for assistance about the SDK?

A5. Although we have a help request form where you can request for assistance when you do not receive the registration
email, we do not respond to any technical inquiries.

Q6. When is the update for the SDK that's compatible with a new camera released?

A6. The SDKs are updated or added for a new camera sometime after the camera is released.

Q7. Do you offer any notification service when there are any changes (added, updated, or deleted) made to the SDKs?

A7. No, we do not offer such service.

A9. We cannot give you a clear plan for future releases.

Q11. Which cameras are remotely controllable using the SDKs?

A11. Cameras controllable in Camera Control Pro 2 are supported by the SDKs.

A12. No, the SDKs do not support multiple cameras at the same time.

Q13. Do the SDKs to remotely control cameras support controlling third party lenses and accessories?

Q14. Do the SDKs to remotely control cameras support taking movies?

A14. Yes, it is possible to control the cameras while taking movies, although older model cameras may not be supported.
